Terms & Conditions

J Hill Group Terms & Conditions

1. DEFINITIONS

“Company” refers to J Hill Group Pty Ltd.

“Client” refers to the person or entity engaging the Company.

“Works” refers to all services provided including electrical, earthmoving, site solutions, and trade coordination services.

2. ACCEPTANCE

By accepting a quote, paying a deposit, or allowing works to commence, the Client agrees to these Terms & Conditions.

3. QUOTES & PRICING

- Quotes are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.

- Pricing is based on the scope outlined and may vary if the scope changes.

- Any additional works requested will be quoted or charged separately.

- All prices are inclusive of GST unless stated otherwise.

4. DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS

- A deposit may be required prior to scheduling works.

- Standard payment terms are 7 days from invoice date unless otherwise agreed.

- The Company reserves the right to withhold scheduling or completion of works until payment is received.

5. LATE PAYMENTS

- Overdue invoices may incur a late fee of up to 30% applied after 7 days past the due date.

- Additional administrative or recovery costs may also be charged.

- The Company reserves the right to suspend works or future bookings for overdue accounts.

6. VARIATIONS

- Any changes to the agreed scope must be approved by the Client.

- Variations may impact cost and project timelines.

- The Company will notify the Client where possible prior to proceeding with additional works.

7. ACCESS & SITE CONDITIONS

- The Client must provide safe and reasonable access to the site.

- The Company is not responsible for delays caused by restricted access, site readiness, or other trades.

- Unexpected site conditions may result in additional costs.

8. TRADE COORDINATION

- Where the Company coordinates subcontractors, those trades operate as independent contractors.

- The Company manages scheduling and coordination but is not liable for delays or issues caused by third-party trades outside of its control.

- The Company will act reasonably to ensure quality and continuity across all coordinated works.

9. MATERIALS & SUPPLY

- Materials supplied remain the property of the Company until full payment is received.

- Material availability and pricing may be subject to change beyond the Company’s control.

10. WARRANTIES & LIABILITY

- All works are carried out in accordance with relevant Australian Standards where applicable.

- The Company provides a workmanship warranty for services performed.

- Liability is limited to the value of the works completed by the Company.

- The Company is not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

11. DELAYS

- The Company is not responsible for delays caused by weather, supply issues, site conditions, or third-party contractors.

- Timeframes provided are estimates only unless otherwise agreed in writing.

12. CANCELLATION

- Cancellations may result in forfeiture of deposit.

- Costs incurred up to the cancellation date will be payable.

13. SAFETY & COMPLIANCE

- All works will be performed in accordance with relevant safety regulations.

- The Client must ensure the site complies with safety requirements.

14. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory.
